What are you going to do with your PMW 30 Under 30 Award trophy?
I’m a bit torn actually! It’s only because of the amazing team around me that I am where I am today – they’ve given me every possible opportunity, believed in me from the start, and picked me up whenever I had a wobble or confidence knock. So I am thinking about having the award in the office, as a tribute to them.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
It’s a really exciting time at CHS, and I’m currently working with the senior leadership to help the growth of the agency – and that includes continuing to win big and exciting work for the UK’s biggest brands. So I hope to still be doing this, because it’s what I love.
There’ll be many people reading this now who have never heard of CHS – and I hope that, in 5 years’ time, that will change – we want to be seen as a real competitor to the big London ad agency set, so watch this space.
What piece of advice would you share with young professionals looking to work in the PM industry?
If you don’t ask then you don’t get. It’s always daunting trying to break into an industry and start your career – but if you’re hungry for something then make it known. Whether that’s the clients you want to work with, the projects you want to be involved with, new skills you want to learn… Be brave enough to speak up.
Bragging rights: what’s your proudest performance so far?
Starting a strategy department at CHS, and building it into what it is today. It’s been pivotal to me and my career, but also the success of the agency as a whole – so I couldn’t be more proud. Okay, that’s enough bragging now…
What do you listen to on your commute to work?
I feel so fortunate to work down on the south coast. And I’m in fact only a couple of minutes away from the office… so there’s not much time to listen to anything, but I do hear a lot of seagulls!
