What are you going to do with your PMW 30 Under 30 Award trophy?
It'll definitely serve as a reminder to always look beyond myself (look at all the amazing works that have been done by all the winners!) and to seek for opportunities to innovate and be better!
Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
I'd want to see myself accelerating digital marketing's growth in APAC and be the market expert that others can come to for strategy, ideas, and help. There are plenty of opportunities to grow and potential to be recognized here in the region!
What piece of advice would you share with young professionals looking to work in the PM industry?
Don't be afraid to try & get yourself the right mentor(s)!
What one thing above all would you change about the PM industry?
Again, about APAC region, it is home to 60% of the world's population, yet we haven't been getting enough attention. I'd like to see this trend change in the near future with lots of new innovative ideas surfacing and breaking through from the rest of the world.
Bragging rights: what’s your proudest performance so far?
Leading SEA and IN publishers' growth of +78% YoY, even surpassing those more mature markets in APAC (like China, Korea, & Japan). And, seeing how they've transformed and grown so much since they're under my management at Rakuten Advertising!
What do you listen to on your commute to work?
I work from home these days, but when I didn't, I would listen to some relaxing jazz music during the commute to work.
What is the one data or tech trend to watch out for in PM in 2022/23?
I'd say social media marketing! With more than half the world's population now using social media, it's a powerful tool and channel for anyone looking for more awareness and audience.
