Budweiser launches limited edition ‘Home’ can as tribute to England win in the Women’s Euros

Harnessing first party data by enticing fans to sign up to a waiting list, Budweiser keeps the Lionesses’ win celebrations alive.

Budweiser is keeping the celebrations going for the England Women’s football teams win at the Euros 22 football tournament with the launch of a limited edition ‘Home’ can.

Fans are asked to join a waiting list to buy the Home can to commemorate the historic victory. The brewery giant, the official partner of the England football team has redesigned a 440ml can in the red and white colours of the England flag, with special tribute to the Lionesses’ success, including a ‘Home’ decoration in place of Budweiser’s logo.

The launch is on the back of Budweiser’s celebratory giveaway of 150,000 beers last week via a digital coupon to spend in Tesco stores. The giveaway sparked lots of interest on social media with fans flocking to share the coupons around.

Budweiser’s traditional creed, running across the top of the can, has been updated as an ode to the Lionesses’ success and its impact. The five continents labelled within the Budweiser crest have been replaced with the five cities across the UK that the team played in.
