Alex Lubar has been named DDB Worldwide’s Global President and Chief Operating Officer. Lubar will join DDB next month. He is currently President of McCann North America, having been with the agency since 2012, with roles including CEO of McCann London, and leading the Asia Pacific region.

Unilever CEO Alan Jope has announced his intention to retire at the end of 2023, after five years at the helm and more than 35 years’ service at the brand. Unilever’s Board will start a formal search for a successor, considering both internal and external candidates.

Anna Lundstrom has been elevated to the role of CEO for the UK and Republic of Ireland at Nespresso. Lundstrom succeeds Guillaume Chesneau, who has been appointed as Business Executive Officer of Nespresso France. She joined Nespresso in 2010 as Brand PR Manager rising through the ranks before joining the leadership team as Chief Brand Officer, a global role, in 2020. Before Nespresso, Lundstrom held roles at LVMH, Chanel and Gucci, before joining Weber Shandwick.

Cristina Sanchez has been appointed Executive Creative Director of Iris Singapore. Sanchez was previously the executive creative director for VMLY&R

Global events brand Money 20/20 – part of Ascential which is also home to Cannes Lions and WARC – has appointed Geraint Jones as Global VP Marketing. Jones was previously marketing and growth leader at M&C Saatchi and Omnicom and has held a number of senior marketing roles in agencies.

Jack Howson has joined independent multi-platform production studio Peanut & Crumb as Head of its Audio Division. Howson will oversee development and production of Peanut & Crumb’s original and branded audio content, including documentary, drama, and new current affairs and cultural formats. He joins from Reduced Listening, where he produced and launched Spotify’s Decode podcast.

Gustav Westman has been accepted into Forbes Technology Council. Westman is CEO and Co-Founder of BrightBid, an adtech platform for Google Advertising.

Advertising solution platform Hubble Co-Founder and Managing Partner Rebekah Brooks has been promoted to Managing Director.

Michael Brooks has been named as Chief Operating Officer at Verve Group. With more than 12 years experience overseeing many facets of mobile advertising, Brooks will be responsible for charting the strategic direction for Verve Group’s supply-side technology platforms and its Business Intelligence and Corporate Reporting operations.

Given is strengthening its team with the appointment of a new Chief Strategy Officer. Lloyd Burdett will lead the strategy practice and contribute to the agency's top purpose projects as a member of the executive team.

TV adtech firm FreeWheel has named Soo Jin Oh as Chief Strategy Officer, a new role developed for the company. Oh will work closely with FreeWheel leadership to develop strategic plans in support of achieving the company’s long-term vision, enhance business operations and establish strong relationships within the advertising landscape.

Media monetisation firm AdTonos has appointed two new board advisors. Pierre Naggar joins the company from Adswizz, where he worked as the Global SVP of Demand and Alex Faust joins from Spotify, where he was the Global Head of International Sales.

Ad agency VaynerMedia has announced management changes across the EMEA region. Daisy Domenghini will be promoted to Managing Director for EMEA, having served as Head of Client Partnership since October 2021. VJ Anand is also relocating from APAC to become Head of Creative EMEA.

Cross screen data solutions provider Lotame has strengthened its executive team across the globe, elevating two team members to key roles. Nishanth Raju has been elevated to Managing Director for the Southeast Asia (SEA) region. Lotame’s former SEA Managing Director, Frederic Marthoz, has shifted to the newly-created role of VP of Global Partnerships on the Revenue and Global Partnerships team, based in London. Both will report to Chris Hogg, Chief Revenue Officer.

Shutterstock has appointed its new Chief Technology Officer, Sejal Amin, who will join the Executive Committee. In this role, Amin will be focused on building an agile, scalable technology platform that enables product development and experimentation at scale, and drives utilisation and retention.

Publisher Future has appointed Claire Blunt as Chief Operating Officer. Blunt is currently Chief Advertising Officer and CEO of International for the Guardian Media Group and was also Chief Financial, Operations & Data Officer for Hearst Europe. She will join Future on 7 November.

Consumer insights provider Toluna has appointed Jeff Claypoole to General Manager, Americas. In this role, Claypoole will be responsible for continuing to drive exceptional sales and revenue growth in the region through his leadership, organisational building, customer and prospect engagement, and for the planning and execution of go-to-market strategies.

Localisation technology provider Memsource has appointed Jason Hemingway as VP Global Marketing, further expanding its worldwide leadership team. Hemingway joins the company as it builds a unified brand, following its recent acquisition of Phrase, and is charged with stewarding the marketing organisation.

Personalised advertising firm Ogury has brought in Stéphane Dupayage as Chief Product Officer. In his role, Dupayage will lead the company’s product organisation and roadmap to build and execute new strategies around personified advertising, powered by a ‘true IDless’ and cookieless solution designed for marketers, agencies and suppliers.

In-game advertising and video game monetization platform Bidstack has hired Jude O’Connor from AdColony as its new Chief Revenue Officer. O’Connor’s appointment signals a significant acceleration of Bidstack’s expansion in the US market. He will rapidly scale Bidstack’s local teams and steer a go-to-market strategy centred on educating the US market on Bidstack’s pioneering and revolutionary in-game technology.
