Digital content agency and media network, Little Dot Studios has launched a series of YouTube Shorts for fans of the UK’s breakthrough Eurovision 2022 star Sam Ryder.
Working in partnership with Parlophone Records and YouTube, the agency has created ‘Sam Ryder’s 2022 Wrapped’ – a series of episodic YouTube Shorts content.
The singer, who shot to fame sharing music covers on TikTok during the COVID-19 pandemic and whose debut album ‘There’s Nothing But Space, Man’ is the current holder of the No1 spot in the UK charts, will be captured on the mini-series looking back on some of his best memories of 2022.
Ryder placed second in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, ending a dismal run for the UK. The ten 60” YouTube Shorts will feature previously unseen documentary archive footage and personal reflections, which will be available in the run up to his first BBC New Year’s Eve show performance.
Authentic, native content
‘Sam Ryder’s 2022 Wrapped’ aims to engage those looking for bite-sized content, which when released in conjunction with long-form content, has been shown to increase overall watch-time and subscriber growth on YouTube, according toLittle Dot Studios.
Charlie Martin, Audience & Engagement Manager, Parlophone Records said: “We formed the partnership with Little Dot Studios after the Tom Daley Superpowers episode with Sam Ryder – it was a no-brainer to get the team on board for Sam’s YouTube Shorts project. Each episode breaks down Sam's incredible year – Little Dot Studios have told his story of 2022 perfectly."
Tom Hemsley, Executive Creative Director, Little Dot Studios added: “It was great to be invited by Parlophone to develop and produce a new show of Sam’s own for YouTube Shorts. Sam’s career was born in digital, his content has always been authentic and native for mobile – this was key for both Sam and Parlophone when it came to us working together on an original YouTube series.”
