Performance Marketing World shortlisted for Innovation of The Year at PPA Awards

A brand revamp for the always-on ‘Netflix generation' - PMW’s practical and purposeful new website joins BBC Good Food App and Radio Times in national awards list for editorial innovation.

Performance Marketing World (PMW) has been shortlisted in the Innovation of the Year category at the national Professional Publishers Association (PPA) Awards.

The award recognises innovation in new products and use of data or cultural change within the UK publishing sector, with the goal of increasing reach and influencing new audiences.

PMW relaunched in Spring 2022, with a focus on going beyond traditional trade publication news coverage by showcasing practical tools and reaching across multiple media formats including video, audio and social.

New additions to PMW include a Jargon Buster explainer tool, interactive data visualisations, video Masterclasses, our podcast show Attention Seekers, ‘How To’ guides, in-depth sector playbooks, Instagram Live interviews and regular community led expert analysis of key issues.

‘Not just another trade publication’

“We are thrilled to have made the shortlist for innovation at this year’s PPA awards alongside such prestigious national titles and initiatives,” said Robin Langford, Editor at PMW. “Our site rebrand was borne out of a year of talking to our industry– who identified a need for a title that provides more practical tips, visualisations, a sense of community and a fun, seamless user experience.”

“This nomination is the result of amazing work from a talented and hard working team behind the scenes, including our Premium Content Editor Sarah Dennis, Multimedia Editor Lucy Shelley and the creative studio team at Haymarket – all helping us to be ‘Not Just Another Trade Publication’.”

The PPA awards celebrate outstanding achievement across UK specialist media including both large and small companies across both B2B and consumer media sectors. The awards will take place on 28 June in London, at City Central at the HAC and tickets are currently on sale.

PMW’s website relaunch has been nominated alongside seven other publications, including The Radio Times for its ‘Missing Issue’ project and Immediate Media for its app platform launch for BBC Good Food and HistoryExtra.

Other nominees in this category include House Beautiful & Country Living (Marketplaces), PwC, ISBA, AOP (Programmatic Supply Chain Transparency Study II) Propolis (B2B Marketing), Centaur Media (The Lawyer Litigation Tracker) and Cadent and Think (We Are Able campaign).

PMW is currently accepting entries to its own Global Awards and 30 under 30 Awards.
