With Coachella just taking down its glitter and stages, we’re heading into festival season, with the photo finishes heading to Instagram.
Experts at Boohoo dove into Instagram stats and analysed the number of Instagram hashtags for the most popular UK festivals to see which ones are the most favourable on social media.
“UK festivalgoers have made quite an impact on Instagram over the years, sharing their festival snaps and videos from some of the most anticipated and famous UK festivals during the summer,” commented a spokesperson from Boohoo.
“Alongside sharing photos of the artists that may have headlined, there has been a rise in interest in sharing 'festival fashion' snaps, with influencers and celebrities showing fans their thoughtfully pieced-together outfits in the hopes of gaining likes and attraction towards their pages."
However, not all the most attended festivals take the podium spots. Creamfields takes the crown for the most instagrammable UK festival, partly down to it being held over two weekends at two locations.
Being late to the party is not typically a favourable trend as the date seems to impact the hashtag count, with instagrammers wanting to be the first to share their festival highlights. Although Creamfields being both first and last seems to close out the party on a high.
