PMW has launched its global media agency rankings, courtesy of our stablemate Campaign Advertising Intelligence.
The service brings you the top 20 global media agencies for new business wins over the course of 2023 – ranked every two months on a cumulative basis.
PMW subscribers will now be able to see which media agencies are ranking top of the table six times a year, tracking the estimated net billings with extra insight into which agencies are landing the big wins from brands across the world.
The data comes from Campaign Advertising Intelligence – the global intelligence service giving marketers insight into the account activity and brand spend across industries, regions and agencies.
The global media agency rankings are compiled using data from independent global marketing consultancy R3 and submissions directly from agencies. The service reports global new business activity on a two-monthly basis.

With three agencies surpassing the $1bn mark in net billings for the first two months of 2023, it’s been a busy time for our media top 20 so far.
Media agencies are defined as agencies that advise companies on how and where to advertise (including via pay-for-performance formats) and other forms of media management. They ensure that a client's marketing message appeals to consumers, appears in the right place, at the right time and that the advertiser pays the best possible price.
Agencies in our new tables are ranked by estimated net billings (wins minus losses). But outside the top 20, we also reveal the agencies making their mark this year so far.
